The latch is spring loaded and will latch automatically when the door is closed. The deadlocking plunger on the latchbolt prevents the latch from being shimmed open. The slide button on the backplate of the lock can be used to hold the latchbolt in a retracted position. When in use with the latchbolt retracted, the door will not latch and can be opened without requiring a code to be entered.

CL255 Features:

Hold back feature

Light duty mortise latch with dual backplate

Hexagonal beveled handle and lock case

Available in stainless steel

Non Handed - 8,191 non sequential code combinations available

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0849/0047/9196/files/5ix375d17bzm_aec1d569-57db-4a80-932f-610182d86015.jpg?v=1788734512
https://uhshardwares.com/products/codelocks-key-control-hook-key-cabinet-w-cl255-mechanical-lock-tubular-latch-optional-cabinet-storage-kr3d00
